I recently had this very conversation with one of my student leaders. I asked her what she thought of the idea of our center creating a Facebook account. She advised me against the idea. She did not think that any students would want to join the site. She pointed to other related organizations that had created an account. Most if not all of its limited amount of users were either professional staff members or student employees. Not to say that this would not be a good idea for your campus. We do use it for our student groups (Summer Bridge) for which case it works great. What about Twitter-does your center "tweet"? Just curious to see how many of you have crossed into this frontier, why you did it (or didn't do it), and, if you have, what your experience has been like. I can see how it could be useful and even fun, but I can also see how it could easily become more trouble than it's worth. Cheers, Chris Christopher S.
