USCID has organized the Fifth International Conference on Irrigation and Drainage, to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 3-6, 2009. The Theme of the Conference is Irrigation and Drainage for Food, Energy and the Environment. Reed Murray and his Planning Committee have developed an outstanding program. Featured speakers include Anne Castle, Assistant Secretary, Water and Science, U.S. Department of the Interior; and Chandra A. Madramootoo, President, International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage.

The Conference will include two excellent field tours and an exhibition by more than 20 companies providing irrigation related services and products.

The deadline for the discounted early registration fee is October 23 and rooms are still available at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel, the Conference venue.
