I absolutely agree that Redrock's tech support is amazingly helpful.  I would also agree that there are some bugs in the program, some elements that are still being developed, and a somewhat steep learning curve for old folks like me.  However, we also found that a notable portion of the problems we've had with 4.0 turned out to be problems on our campus with security, server access, and browsers.  I have continued trust that TutorTrac will be the best tool for what I need.
 
I'm not sure that I would ever recommend a significant mid-semester change in something as important as tracking software.  Perhaps a delay until between semesters, with some upfront commitment from your IT that they'll be available to help with the transition??
