I cannot recall if anyone from Alachua County Audubon posted the sighting of
White-winged Scoter last Saturday (14th November). There was a pair,
apparently (@200 yards) adult male and female on a large phosphate lake at
Potash Corp WMA, Hamilton Co. They were loosely associating with small
flock of Ring-necks and several Lesser Scaup amidst a sea of swimming
Ring-billed Gulls. This same inland area produced a White-winged Scoter in
1995.
