Hi, all. The New York College Learning Skills Association is pleased to announce that it will host a NADE Certification Training workshop during its 33rd Annual Symposium April 11-13, 2010 at the beautiful Woodcliff Hotel & Spa near Rochester, NY. Information about registration for the NYCLSA Symposium can be found at www.nyclsa.org (Click Current Year under Annual Conference). There is an airport nearby, and the hotel offers free airport transportation (which must be booked in advanced). This program can be used as an excellent guide for program assessment and/or to attain NADE certification. My institution, for example, is using what we learned from this training to satisfy the SUNY system-wide requirement for program assessment. Here's information provided by the trainers: Attendees who are interested in assessment and evaluation of their program(s) and/or are interested in pursuing NADE Certification will have an opportunity to complete the NADE Certification Training at this symposium institute. This workshop will be conducted over two afternoon sessions on Monday, April 12th, and Tuesday, April 13th for a total of 8 training hours. It will involve instruction in use of the NADE Self-Evaluation Guides, 2nd Edition (2009). In addition, participants will learn how they can prepare their program for eligibility for NADE Certification. Jennifer Ferguson of Cazenovia College and Training Coordinator of the NADE Certification Council and Jane Neuburger of Syracuse University and Review Operations Coordinator for the Certification Council will conduct the training. The $175 workshop registration fee covers the cost of a training manual and handouts. Please note this fee does not cover the cost of other documents such as the NADE Self-Evaluation Guides, 2nd Edition (2009). Visit the NADE Certification website at: http://www.nadecertification.net for information regarding purchase of this document and for further information on certification and the training institute.
