“The contextual development of cyber bullying
behavior in early adolescence: a longitudinal and social network analysis”
Job
description:
· You prepare a doctoral dissertation on cyber bullying among early
adolescents from a longitudinal and social network approach (review of
literature, design of measurement instrument, data collection and statistical
analysis, publication of findings in international, peer reviewed scientific
journal)
• The project is supervised by: H.
Vandebosch and M. Walrave (
Profile:
• You have a master’s degree in
communication studies, sociology, psychology or another relevant master’s
degree.
• You obtained outstanding academic
results
• You have an interest in
teens’ use of ICT
• You have experience with quantitative
research (and social network analysis or longitudinal analysis in particular),
and/or you are prepared to attend further training
• You have an eloquent writing style in English
• You are a team player, but can also
work on assignments independently
We
offer
• A two-year contract (renewable with
a two-year contract after positive evaluation) in a young and dynamic research
unit.
• The possibility to attend
international summer courses (in social science data analysis)
• Affiliation with an international
academic network on cyber bullying
• Starting date is February 1st
