This is not quite new, as the flawed ES&T article was criticized a week or two ago, but here is a particularly thoughtful and thorough critique.

 

By using outdated data, the study cannot be considered an accurate snapshot of the algae biofuel field. It is better to look at it as showing where the field once was [10 years ago] and remember that things have only advanced from that point.
