Melissa Forehande just called from Bald Point State Park to say that she had seen what appeared to be a booby (sp) flying west from the point.  It had a dark throat and lighter body.  Light was poor, however, and it could have been a gannet (but "probably not").  Other birds included Wilson's Plover w. chick, Royal Tern, 2 Gull-billed Terns (present for about last two weeks), 9 Red Knots, Black-bellied Plover, and Ruddy Turnstones.  No tar balls so far today.
