This is an article that breifly describes the rejection by the Devon County Council to a recently proposed biogas to energy project for the town of Tiverton, England. The town's 20,000 people currently sends about 40,000 metric tons of food waste to the county landfill, most of which could be diverted and turned into energy. This is another reminder that it is often the political hurdles that can be the hardest to overcome in implementing green technologies such as anaerobic digestion.
