The UF Teaching Center is once again offering its fall series of Teaching Assistant Development Workshops. Its teaching strand will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and includes sessions on topics such as leading discussions, planning a lecture, and dealing with troubled or disruptive students. Its technology strand will take place on Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and includes sessions on Sakai, PowerPoint I & II, and the UF Digital Media Hub among others. Graduate teaching assistants can earn a certificate for each strand, if they attend a minimum of nine workshops in that strand. The technology strand begins with the Sakai session on Thursday, 2 September 2010.
