Dear Colleagues Coordinating Tutor Training,

Just a reminder that our next online train-the-tutor-trainer course with
the 2-week Online
eMaster Tutor Trainer's Course
is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 17, 2010. This
Tutor Trainer's Course will focus on helping trainers train tutors using
the Online eMaster
Tutor Training Course. It is designed to be done entirely on line and in
conjunction with your
regular duties and responsibilities assuming approximately 1-2 hours/24
hour period for
course interaction and discussion about the course text, The Master Tutor:
A Guidebook
for More Effective Tutoring by Dr. Ross B. MacDonald.

Registrants will also find the course helpful if they wish to gain
additional background for
completing their own formal face-to-face instruction using The Master
Tutor, its Trainer's Manual/Transparency Set, and pre and post assessment, THE

Openings remain in the upcoming course and will be allocated in the order
of confirmation
until registration is filled. A registration fee of $199 for single
registrants and $179 for two
or more registrants is required. Each registrant will receive a copy of The
Master Tutor : A
Guidebook for More Effective Tutoring, THE TESAT, and online course
materials prior to the
start of instruction. Successful registrants will receive a CSSS
COMPLETION and have the opportunity to PILOT the online course via a
discounted 1/2 year institutional site license (i.e. afforded by the 15th
Anniversary Celebration
of Dr. MacDonald's research-based California Tutor Project and authorship
of his text).
NOTE: Registrants need not have prior online learning experience nor be
concerned about
maintaining peak performance during instruction. A goal of familiarization
is uppermost and
opportunities for scheduling conflicts are a built-in part of instruction
similar to the experience
realized in training peer tutors.

Additional information and registration forms can be found at our web site

Kindly circulate this announcement. Thank you for your interest and prompt
response. Registra-
tion deadline is 9/9/10 to avoid late fees for overnight shipment of text
and course materials..
