***** To join INSNA, visit http://www.insna.org ***** Hi Rusty A long tradition of courses at the University of Essex Summer School in Data Analysis. Four such offerings this year. http://www.essex.ac.uk/summerschool/ Michigan Summer School is also a notable place with a good tradition of such courses. http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/ Some good courses also at the ECPR summer school in Lubjana in Croatia. http://www.ecprnet.eu/summerschools/Ljubljana/ Multiple add-hoc offerings in many Universities across Europe and the States as evident from the contributions from a number of colleagues to this list. I have offered multiple such courses from 3 days to two weeks (10 to 40 hours) in Italy, Luxembourg and Denmark just in the last few months. There is a list of courses at INSNA focusing on the provision in the US and we are having a web page under construction at the uksna site focusing on Europe that should be up before the end of the month. http://www.insna.org/sna/programs_old.html Hope useful Dimitris Dr Dimitrios C Christopoulos Senior Lecturer Department of Politics Bristol - UWE Chairperson UKSNA Co-Convenor ECPR-SNA Standing Group Home page: http://www.uwe.ac.uk/hlss/politics/staff_dChristopoulos.shtml UKSNA: http://sites.google.com/site/uksocialnetworksassociation/ ECPR SNA group: http://www.essex.ac.uk/ecpr/standinggroups/sna/home.aspx SNA graduate class: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/sna-method ________________________________________ From: Social Networks Discussion Forum [[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Rusty Tunnard [[log in to unmask]] Sent: 13 September 2010 18:42 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: List of SN and SNA courses ***** To join INSNA, visit http://www.insna.org ***** Dear SOCNET colleagues, I am trying to get a sense of who’s offering courses in social networks and social network analysis, specifically at the graduate level, and even more specifically, in MBA and International Relations programs. Because it's so cross-disciplinary, it's hard to know where these courses might be hiding. The INSNA website was the first place I went looking, but I can tell from my own knowledge that it is far from complete. For those of us trying to convince curriculum committees that a course on SNA is appropriate and timely and that other institutions have taken the plunge, such a list would be a handy thing. I will collect and contribute to the INSNA for the website. Many thanks, Christopher (Rusty) Tunnard, Ph.D. The Fletcher School, Tufts University _____________________________________________________________________ SOCNET is a service of INSNA, the professional association for social network researchers (http://www.insna.org).
