Workshop: Using Network Analysis as a Conceptual and Analytical Framework
for Studying Social-Ecological Systems, March 11, 2011 Phoenix, Arizona

In conjunction with the up-coming Resilience 2011 conference we will run a
1-day workshop at Arizona State University (ASU) on this topic.

In this practical hands-on workshop, participants will learn and practice
how to conduct some basic but still fundamental
analyses of networks. Both formal analyses and different ways to graphically
visualize networks and their different characteristics will be explored. All
exercises and examples will be based on real data and both patterns of
social relations among humans as well as ecological components of the
studied system will be analyzed.
