I am looking postdoctoral positions. I am currently a PhD student of
Sociological Research Unit at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata,
and expected to graduate in August,2011.
I have worked under the supervision of my adviser Late Prof. Suraj
Bandyopadhyay of ISI, Kolkata. In my research I mainly tried to study
different kind of social network(overlapping and non overlapping ) among
geographically mobile urban educated middle class and their risk of HIV
transmission in Indian context. Apart from Social network, my other areas of
interest are,youth,migration,virtual network , technology, risk, identity
and HIV. I have special interest on doing sensitive research, mainly using
and developing different tools,reducing and handing non response.
I believe I am a sensible and hard working field worker and ready to work on
any thing which seems challenging and interesting. Can anyone here suggest
me any project or organization where I can apply?
