A mix of international speakers and tutors will deliver lectures and seminars designed to provide a unique cross disciplinary grounding in techniques for analysing the Web, understanding its relationship to society and engineering its future. Applicants are not necessarily expected to have a computing background, though some technical knowledge of computing and the Web would be advisable. Participants will have also have an opportunity to work in small groups on topic-specific breakout sessions. Interaction with senior researchers and establishing contacts between young researchers is a main focus of the school, which will be supported through social activities and an interactive, amicable atmosphere.
