Call for Paper
Open Source Intelligence and Web Mining 2011
12-14 September, 2011, Athens, Greece

After the great success of OSINT-WM 2008, OSINT-WM 2009, and OSINT-WM 2010,
which were held in conjunction with the 12th International Conference on
Information Visualization (IV08) in London, UK, 13th International
Conference on Information Visualization (IV09) in Barcelona, Spain, and 2010
International Conference on Advances in Social Network Analysis and Mining
(ASONAM 2010) in Odense, Denmark, now we look forward to a more successful
OSINT-WM 2011 to be held in Conjunction with the
European ISI 2011.

The aim of this symposium is to provide an international forum for
researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their
knowledge in the rapidly growing area of OSINT-WM. OSINT-WM 2011 invites
research submissions on all topics related to OSINT-WM, including but not
limited to those listed below:

* Web Mining for Blog Analysis
* Web Mining for Online Personalization and Recommendation System

* Internet as a Tool for Command and Control
* Information Terrorism
* Social Network Analysis
* Investigative Data Mining
* Privacy and Legal Issues

Papers will be refereed and appear in the conference proceedings, which will
be published by IEEE Computer Society.  A selection of best papers will be
recommended for publication in special issues of scientific journals, or as
an edited book published by Springer.

Important Dates:

Submission of Papers:  May 31, 2011
Notification of Acceptance: June 25, 2011
Camera Ready Papers: July 14, 2011
Author Registration due:  July 14, 20101
Symposium:   September 12-14, 2011

Papers reporting original and unpublished research results pertaining to the
above topics are solicited. Full paper submission deadline is May 31, 2011.
These papers will follow an academic review process. Full paper manuscripts
must be in English with a maximum length of 8 pages (using the IEEE
two-column template). Submissions should include the title, author(s),
affiliation(s), e-mail address(es), tel/fax numbers, abstract, and postal
address(es) on the first page. Papers should be submitted to the Conference
Submission System. If Web submission is not possible, manuscripts should be
sent as an attachment via email to [log in to unmask] by May 31, 2011. The
attachment must be in PDF or Word .doc format.

It is important to note that IEEE CPS will publish the proceedings of
OSINT-WM 2011 and hence all the rules and regulations of IEEE CPS will be
applied as explained in the following link:

Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness,
significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Authors should certify
that their papers represent substantially new previously unpublished work.
Paper submission implies that the intent is for one of the authors to
present the paper if accepted and that at least one of the authors register
for a full conference fee.
