Weird and interesting.  I have seen stuff like this happen with growth regulators, basically a proliferation of growth that is atypical of "normal" growth.  When the plant has worked through the growth regulators, then the plant returns to normal growth pattern.  I suspect the root of the problem is in what was being sprayed.  BJ

Subject: Perplexing...

A client brought in a sample of a Murraya paniculata with abnormal growths.  It is in a area landscaped with stone mulch.  He is using herbicides to control weeds (don't know which one), probably pre-emergent type.  Any ideas?
