Ohio Dominican University is conducting a search for a Coordinator of the Academic Resource Center Math Lab.

The Math Lab at Ohio Dominican University provides curricular support to students in fundamental mathematics, including application to quantitative course components across disciplines.

The Coordinator serves as a program administrator supporting the mission of the Academic Resource Center.  The Coordinator also serves as adjunct faculty in the Division of Mathematics, Computer and Natural Sciences, in this capacity holding the rank of Lecturer. The Coordinator of the Math Lab reports to the Director of the Academic Resource Center.  In the role of Lecturer of Mathematics, the Coordinator is responsible to the Chair of the Division of Mathematics, Computer and Natural Sciences.

The successful candidate must have a Masters degree in developmental education, mathematics education, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.  A minimum of three years of teaching experience in math education, mathematics, or developmental education, or equivalent teaching experience in a setting requiring application of quantitative reasoning, preferably with a concentration in mathematics in a higher education environment is required.  Additional requirements include two years of supervisory experience demonstrating ability to manage people and/or to coordinate programming; experience in use of spread sheets and basic data analysis; the ability and willingness to tutor quantitative skills for a variety of University courses; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to recognize different learning styles in students; and the ability to help students at all levels of quantitative ability, including students who may exhibit math anxiety.
