Mark your calendar! COSEE Florida's is sponsoring two
Presentation Boot Camps (PBC) this fall at the
University of Florida (September 24-25) and the
Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory (December 10-11, 2011). During the intensive two-day workshop, you'll receive training in planning and preparing presentations
that communicate messages more clearly and effectively and have a lasting impact on the audience.Topics include: knowing and identifying the needs of the audience, highlighting big ideas and take-home messages, decoding complex concepts with diagrams, and
displaying data in meaningful ways.You'll also receive training in the use and application of a protocol and associated rubric for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific presentations.

Applications are currently being accepted for the September 24-25, 2011 PBC at the University of
Florida. To register, please complete the
online application form by September 9, 2011. Space is limited to 25 participants. Successful applicants will be notified by September 15, 2011. There is
NO CHARGE for the PBC, but attendees are expected to cover the cost of transportation and lodging. Attendance at both days of the workshop is required.
