I am a PhD student at Rutgers University and am keen on studying social networks in the context of organizations. I have chosen social networks as a topic for my qualifying exam and want to build a reading list of articles and books that will give me an introduction to the field  and further help me understand the relevance of social networks in the field of management. It will be a great help if you can point me to some good books and possibly some articles that you consider a "must read". 

My other interest areas are psychological contract and strategic human resource management.
