This a.m. about 8:45 I saw a light-morph adult Swainson's Hawk wheeling
high above U.S. 41 near the entrance to Eagle Lakes Community Park in
East Naples. A rare sight in southwest Florida!

Other recent highlights at this park might include Redhead Duck as
previously reported by Phil Barrett, Lesser Scaup, Ring-necked Duck,
Swamp Sparrow, Painted Buntings, Orange cr. Warbler, Long-billed
Dowitcher, Peregrine Falcon, Bronzed Cowbirds, and Northern Harrier.

Eagle Lakes is a great place to observe and photograph bird species
especially with the water levels as they are in both the Whistler's Cove
and Gazebo impoundments (Pond A and Pond B as per County personnel).

Good birding to all!
