January 10, 2012 is the early registration deadline for the 3rd University of Florida Water Institute Symposium that will be held at the Reitz Union on the UF campus during February 15-16, 2012  Click here  to  complete your registration before the price goes up  
 
If you register before January 10, 2012  the fee is only $200 for professionals, $75 for students! Your registration includes conference attendance as well as lunch and refreshment breaks on Wednesday February 15th and Thursday February 16th, and the evening poster reception on Wednesday February 15th . Registration fees go up for both students and professionals after January 10, 2010.    

Note:  Free Parking will be available at the Reitz Union for non-UF participants!

The theme of the symposium is Sustainable Water Resources: Nutrient Dynamics, Policy and Management in Watersheds. We have a fantastic program lined up including a mix of more than 175 contributed oral, poster and panel presentations addressing complex nutrient issues from multiple perspectives, as well as great plenary speakers and panelists

Click here and register now  for the 3rd University of Florida Water Institute Symposium in Gainesville, Florida during February 15-16, 2012.

If you register by January 5, 2012 the fee is only $200 for professionals, $50 for students! Your registration includes conference attendance as well as lunch and refreshment breaks on Wednesday February 15th and Thursday February 16th, and the poster reception on Wednesday February 15th.

The theme of the symposium is Sustainable Water Resources: Nutrient Dynamics, Policy and Management in Watersheds. This promises to be another intellectually stimulating and thought-provoking event including a mix of more than 150 contributed oral, poster and panel presentations addressing nutrient issues from multiple perspectives and a great line-up keynote speakers:

    • Dr. Ellen Gilinsky, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Water, Environmental Protection Agency, "Numeric versus Narrative Nutrient Criteria for Florida"
    • Professor Larry Band, Voit Gilmore Distinguished Professor, University of North Carolina, "Sources, Cycling and Control of Carbon and Nutrients in Urban and Agricultural Watersheds”
    • Professor Dan Childers, Director, Central Arizona-Phoenix LTER, Global Institute of Sustainability, Arizona State University, "Peak Phosphorus and the Sustainable Phosphorus Initiative"
    • Professor Andrew Sharpley, Professor of Soils and Water Quality, "Cycling and management of phosphorus in agricultural systems", University of Arkansas.
