I received a report that the Brewer's Blackbird is still in the coastal
parks in Hernando County, as of noon today. The reporter said: "Bayport park
at 12:30. Had to find her in the palms at first, but then they all came down
to feed some."

The Brewer's Blackbird, always in the company of Boat-tailed Grackles, has
been seen most often at Jenkins Creek, is sometimes across the street at
Linda Pedersen Park, especially near the "recreation building," but has been
seen at Bayport Park at least three times.

Jenkins Creek is on the west side of Shoal Line Blvd. (CR-597), and Linda
Pederson Park is a quarter block south of this on the east side of the
street. Jenkins Creek Park is 2.3 miles south of the intersection with
CR-550, which is the western extension of SR-50. Shoal Line Blvd. is 3.3
miles west of the intersection of US-19 and CR-550, where Weeki Wachee State
Park is located.

To reach Bayport Park from the intersection of Shoal Line Blvd. and CR-550,
drive west toward the Gulf. When the road splits, follow the left fork
(CR-550) to Bayport (rather than taking the right fork CR-495 to Pine
Island). Check the fishing pier area and nearby picnic tables.
