Hello BESTers,

For those of you who prefer to get your news aurally, food waste was
discussed today on NPR's Science Friday. The guests were Jonathan
Bloom, author of American Wasteland: How America Throws Away Nearly Half
of Its Food (and what we can do about it), and Dana Gunder, food and
agriculture project scientist at the NRDC. Topics include composting,
anaerobic digestion, tips to reduce food waste at home, and the Good
Samaritan Law for food donations. It's great to hear food waste
discussed on a national platform.

Have a great weekend,
Ryan
