Hi, Dharmi:  Perhaps the first study to do that is Allan Horwitz's study of entry into the ER in the early 1970s.  Our work, in the Indianapolis Network Mental Health Study, followed 172 individuals making their first major contact with the specialty mental health system.  There are a series of articles from this study, and if you contact me privately, I can send a listing which may be useful.  In particular, it may be useful because many of the pieces not only include analyses but have detailed theoretical discussions of what we know about the influence of egocentric networks on mental health care utilization.... Dear All,

I am a first year PhD student in Manchester (UK) and my research will be investigating the influence of social (egocentric) networks on the usage of specialist mental health services, for Pakistani women living in the UK. To this end, I wanted to establish if there are any existing datasets that contain this type of information does anybody know of national or international datasets?

Many thanks,

Dharmi
