The Department of Political Science within the Division of Social Sciences at the University of California San Diego (http://polisci.ucsd.edu) is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the field of political methodology, broadly defined, to begin July 1, 2013. Applicants from all fields are welcome, but successful candidates must demonstrate strong quantitative skills in one or more of the following: econometrics, statistics, game theory, social choice, computational models, and experimental methods and have, or expect to soon complete, their PhD. Preferred candidates will also be prepared to train graduate and undergraduate students in quantitative methods, demonstrate the highest standards of scholarship and professional activity, and have demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. Appointment level and salary level will be commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.

Review of applications will begin December 7, 2012, and continue until the position is filled.
