First of Season Yellow-bellied Sapsucker for our yard was October 20. My data shows that he made his FOS appearance in 2011 on this exact same day. It's freaky when that happens! He likes a certain cypress tree and spends a large part of his day on this one tree.

Just moments ago had a nice male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker jump from tree to tree in my backyard out the window from my desk. First I've seen this year, don't know if others are being reported or not.
