Dear colleagues,
I would like to refer to the focused topic on “Transnational Social Networks”
of the journal „Transnational Social Review – A Social Work Journal“ (TSR).
In spite of the potential wealth of insights that a focus on transnational social networks promises to bring to the field of transnational studies, researchers have rarely described what
transnational networks are, how they are established, or in which contexts they can be found. The issue hihlights therefore the concept of transnational social network in social work and related fields and addresses empirically and theoretically the meaning
of transnational social relations and social structures as well as the support and dependency processes which emerge from them.
For further information on the issue please have a look at the introduction “Transnational Social Networks - Current Perspectives” (http://www.tss.uni-mainz.de/Dateien/Transnational_Social_Networks_-_Current_Perspectives.pdf)
or visit the homepage of TSR
(http://www.tsr-journal.com/), where single articles are available for
download.
If you have further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Claudia Olivier
