October 3, 2013, 12:30-5:00 pm
Smathers Library, Room 1A
Register online:

Event is free and open to all. Please register to share information on your data needs.

The "Big Data, Little Data: Having it All" Workshop will share information on data management resources at UF, including support for finding data, metadata, storage, creating data management plans with the DMPTool, UF's Institutional Repository (IR@UF), Research Computing, the UF Data Center, data mining, visualization, GIS, and much more!

The event will include an introductory panel by members of UF's Data Management/Curation Task Force. Join us to learn about all that UF has to offer, including support for finding external resources, and meet some of UF's expert liaisons for your research data needs. After the introductory panel, join us for the breakout session lightning rounds and discussions.

For the Lightning Rounds, speakers each present for 10 minutes on a topic with the speakers followed by the attendee group's choice for more information on one of the topics, open discussion on all topics, smaller conversations among experts and attendees, or a mix of these to best support attendee data needs with this and through future events.  Each Lightning Round speaker will present a tool and a field that often uses the tool and follow-up opportunities will include resources for finding data from/for that field and opportunities for hands-on tool workshops.
