Hello BEST-ers,

Due to last week's holiday, I am making a double post today. Village Farms is a hydroponic farm in Texas that covers 262 acres of land. 25 years ago, the business began with just 10 acres. They endeavor to serve customers close to their location, and use an integrated pest management system to keep disease and bugs in check.

Helen Aquino, the marketing manager for the company, says they focused first on making the business economically sustainable, and along the way to success, they have managed to be sustainable environmentally as well.

Happy Monday!
