RE: Today, 5 p.m.: Deadline to Submit "Call For Innovative Research" Articles

Today, by 5 p.m., is the deadline to submit "Call For Innovative Research" articles for the UF Graduate Student Council's (GSC) newsletter, "The Grad Cannon."

The GSC newsletter, "The Grad Cannon", is a medium by which graduate students can launch their ideas and opinions, as parts of the newsletter will be written by students themselves, with faculty and various entities on campus contributing as well.

As previously announced, the newsletter is starting a "Call for Innovative Research," and we need you, as a graduate student of the University of Florida, to contribute to this issue! We are looking for graduate students to write a short article on upcoming research within their field, interesting research studies in any field, or an opinion piece on something you've found in research literature.

The goal of this issue is to expand graduate students' knowledge of the research that exists outside their own field and to educate each other on what's going on in various departments.

Please take a moment to submit an article (no more than 1,000 words) on something interesting you've read lately! Please send all articles by 5 p.m. TODAY, February 4, 2012 to the Newsletter Chair, Sanjeev Gangadharan, at [log in to unmask], or the GSC Secretary, Whitney Fung, at [log in to unmask]
