Today a few of us found one of the previously reported Alder Flycatchers at La Chua trail, Paynes Prairie in Gainesville. The bird was occasionally giving its "pip" call.
The Flycatcher is on "the back side" of La Chua trail. Turn right after you exit the barn--the opposite direction from the usual La Chua trail route. It was about 60 yards down the trail.
While we were waiting for the Flycatcher, a Mississippi Kite and then a black morph Short-tailed Hawk circled overhead.
