innovation, with an empirical and analytical orientation. Example research
interests include the theoretical and empirical foundations of networked
innovation, modeling of behavior in communities and social networks, groups
and teams, the evolution and dynamics of collaboration networks,
crowdsourcing and swarm creativity, design and visualization in
interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation and organizing dynamics in
organizations, and networks in global contexts. Experience with network
analysis, data mining, large-scale data sets, and computational
methodologies is highly desirable.

The candidate will be encouraged to participate in a growing set of
interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues in Engineering, Computer
Science, Management, and research centers that center on innovation,
networks, and computational social scientific approaches to human behavior.
Research programs that intersect with existing strengths of the Lamb
School are highly desirable.

The successful candidate will have a record of excellence in scholarly
research, demonstrable potential to establish a competitively-funded
research program, be expected to teach courses at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels, and work collaboratively with graduate students. A
Ph.D. in communication or a closely related field is required by August
2014, but advanced ABDs will be considered.
