Jo and Merle Hubbard were already scoping the Brookridge Waste Water
Treatment Ponds (Grove Rd.) when Elaine Maywalt and Al and I arrived. They
had seen a "candidate" for a White-rumped Sandpiper before the bird flushed,
but it was hard to pick out the peeps as they wandered in the grass.

The Wilson's Phalarope spent much of its time midway between the north and
south ends, and the 2 American Avocets were present, as were three
"first-of-season" Wilson's Snipe, along with many Yellowlegs, etc.

Grove Road runs north from SR-50, one block west of the Suncoast Parkway.
The sewage treatment plant is 1 mile north of SR-50, on the west side of the
road. Please view the birds from the fence--don't try to enter the plant.
