Hi all,

The jet stream is now strong and over the southern US and
northern Gulf with wind speeds over 100 mph as of this morning. That means
rapid changes in weather and colder air from the north funneling down.
Tuesday night a front is due along the northern Gulf Coast and Wed a.m.
could be a good birding day if the weather clears behind the front,
otherwise I'd bet on Thursday for the better day. Another strong front is
due Thurs. night. These fronts should clear the continent out of whatever
Neotropical migrants are left and bring in winter visitors big time. This
time of year is a great time to look for western vagrants. See you out
there!
