RE: Become an Editorial Board Member of the UF Journal of Undergraduate Research
The UF Journal of Undergraduate Research (JUR) is soliciting readers for its current and upcoming issues. If you are interested in participating, you will be asked to attend a short workshop
called Peer Review: Reading Academic Papers for Professional Journals. The workshop will introduce scholars to the practice of peer review in three broad academic areas: physical sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Participants will learn about
the review criteria typical of professional journals and the types of commentary most useful for authors. Working with examples from the
Journal of Undergraduate Research, participants will qualify to act as readers for JUR and, after serving in that capacity, will be listed as JUR Editorial Board Members.
This semester, the workshop will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014, 1:55-2:45, location TBA. To register, fill out the online
Registration Form.
