Preparing a Teaching Portfolio in Higher Education

Dr. Dorene Ross, Professor Emeritus, College of Education

Thursday, November 13, 5:00 – 7:00 PM

in CSE E119

How can you know whether you are effective as a college teacher? How can you improve your effectiveness?  AND how can you represent your teaching expertise in a teaching portfolio that will help you as you seek a role as a college instructor?

Come to a presentation with Dr. Dorene Ross to learn about how the development of a teaching portfolio helps you with these three goals: assessing your effectiveness, improving your effectiveness, and demonstrating your effectiveness!  Dr. Ross has won two different teaching awards at the University of Florida and has studied other faculty who have won these awards to learn their tips for effectiveness and to develop guidelines for preparing effective portfolios.  Hope to see you there!
