RE:          Funding Alert: Apply by 12/1 for AAUW International Fellowships

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is now accepting applications for its International Fellowships.

The AAUW awards up to five one-year fellowships for international women who seek graduate and postgraduate study.

The fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not US citizens or permanent residents.

Both graduate and postgraduate study at accredited institutions are supposed.

Fellowship recipients will return to their home country after an education supported by AAUW.

This funding is open to prospective or current graduate students, students working on master's theses or doctoral dissertations, and postdoctoral scholars.

Awards consist of a  yearly stipend of $18,000 for master's or first professional degree fellowships, $20,000 for doctoral fellowships and $30,000 for postdoctoral fellowships, renewable for a second year.

This fellowship program is open only to women who are not US citizens or permanent residents, hold the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree, and must intend to return to their home countries after graduation.

Preference is given to applicants who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls.

Application requirements include a nonrefundable $30 filing fee, official TOEFL test score report or request for a waiver, official transcripts, proof of degree, three recommendation letters.

The deadline for applying is December 1, 2014.
