Subject:           Announcement of New Graduate School Assistant Dean for Administration

 

The Graduate School is pleased to announce that Rhonda S. Moraca, Ph.D. will assume the position of Assistant Dean on May 27, 2014.   

     

In recent years, Dr. Moraca has served as the Director of Academic Support Services in the office of the Regional Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of South Florida (Sarasota-Manatee campus).

 

She is not entirely new to the University of Florida, having completed over ten years of employment in various budget and support positions in the Office of the Vice President for Health Affairs at UF from 1978 through 1990.  After opening and managing a successful business, she accepted a position in academic support at the University of South Florida and began the process of completing BS, MA and PhD degrees, all while progressively advancing through administrative positions in Academic Affairs at USF (S-M).

 

Dr. Moraca’s experiences include the provision of administrative, managerial and academic leadership for a wide range of functional areas at USF (S-M) including The Information Commons, Library Services, e-learning, web services, as well as a full range of support services for the academic affairs functions of the office of the Regional Vice-Chancellor.  We are confident that these broad-ranging experiences will serve her well as the Graduate School continues its activities in support of the many and varied graduate education programs offered at the University of Florida.
