The Freie Universität Berlin has established a new research project on
The Hidden Influence of Treaty Secretariats on International Environmental Policy-making
funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The project consists of one doctoral and one postdoctoral researcher and two student assistants. The project is supervised by two researchers at the Department of Political Science and at the Department of Educational Science and Psychology.

The successful candidate is expected to take part in the realization of the research project, especially as related to conducting Social Network Analyses, Surveys, Qualitative Comparative Analysis, publications, presentations on conferences, and data collection.
Very good degree in political science, educational science, social science, or another related discipline (Master, Magister, Diplom).
Knowledge in international environmental policy, international organizations and/or social networks; experiences in statistics, empirical social research, social network analyses, analyses of social media data, and/or conducting surveys and interviews; willingness to efficiently become acquainted with new methods, very good command of English and German, very good presentation and communication skills, capacity for teamwork, self-employment
