Maturing Your Records and Information Management Program - All Records
Retention Schedules Are Not Equal
A Records Retention Schedule (RRS) is a foundational part of a Records
Management/ Information Governance program.  You have done well if you have
one – you at least have a start, with recognition that a Records Retention
Schedule is a necessary component of the overall Information Governance
program.  However, all Retention Schedules are not equal and you may want
to upgrade yours if doesn’t follow “Best Practice” standards.  Before
identifying best practices – let me provide some examples of what not to do:
