Dear Graduate Coordinators and Staff:


The GatorGradCare enrollment site is open for the 2014-2015 policy year.  All eligible graduate assistants, research assistants, teaching assistants and pre-doc fellows must submit a 2014-2015 online enrollment if they would like to be covered under the plan.  The deadline for Annual GatorGradCare enrollment is September 14, 2014.  Plan participants must re-enroll each academic year they are eligible for GatorGradCare.  GatorGradCare enrollment is not automatic.


GatorGradCare enrollees’ eligibility status is reviewed by the GA Benefits Office following the drop/add period which ends on August 29, 2014.  Departments should complete all appointment processes, enter ePAF transactions and allow time for each level of approval prior to August 29, 2014, so GatorGradCare enrollees can have their insurance coverage activated as quickly as possible.  Delays and errors in loading the students’ assistantship or fellowship appointments, Letters of Appointment, and tuition waivers will delay insurance coverage for the GatorGradCare enrollees.  Please advise the GA Benefits Office if there are any delays with processing appointments in your department. 

GatorGradCare enrollment files transferred to the insurance company include the last local home mailing address listed in PeopleSoft.  The street number, street name, and apartment number, if applicable, must be listed in Address Line 3.  GatorGradCare participants should maintain valid mailing addresses in PeopleSoft and should notify the GA Benefits Office of any address changes during the year.
