We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow specialising in SNA to work closely with myself, Prof Michael Gilding and Dr Julia Brennecke on a range of projects involving networks and innovation. Primarily the Postdoctoral Fellow will work on a new project we are just about to begin with Boeing that focuses upon innovation networks.
This is a great opportunity to spend 2 years in Melbourne, Australia at the Swinburne node of the MelNet social network group, located in the Centre for Transformative Innovation, Swinburne University of Technology.

• Full-time, fixed-term 2 year position from January 2015, based at the Hawthorn campus
A Postdoctoral Fellow is required to engage in research around economic sociology, drawing upon a combination of research techniques. Current projects include social networks and commercialisation, innovation networks in aircraft engineering, and biotechnology hubs and clusters. Skills in Social Network Analysis (SNA) would be especially helpful.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• A PhD in Business/Management, Sociology, or related discipline
• A high degree of organisational and administrative skill
• Research project operational attributes including personal resourcefulness, individual initiative, ability to work independently
• A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills
