       UF GSC Annual Award Nominations Deadline: THIS FRIDAY 2/27

 

 

The Annual Graduate Student Council Award Nominations are now open. 

 

Nominations are due by Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:59 PM. Award winners will be announced at the March General Body Meeting.

 

Awards include: 

 

Outstanding grad student (2 awards)

Outstanding Staff Member for support in service of graduate students (1 award)

Outstanding Faculty Member for support in service of graduate students (1 award)

2-minute Video Competition*

 

NOTE: All Outstanding Graduate Student award nominations MUST be submitted by a university faculty or staff member. Students may not nominate themselves, or each other, for the student award. Students MAY nominate an Outstanding Staff or Faculty member.

A complete nomination packet includes:

 

1) Nomination Form

2) Nominee's CV (including relevant honors, awards, research etc): 2 page max including publications.

3) 1 page (12 point Times New Roman, 1" Margins) letter of support by the nominator detailing why the nominee deserves the award.

 

*Two minute video competition. Tell us about your individual/lab group's research in two minutes. Co-sponsered by The Mayors Council. Top two video teams win free t-shirts. Individual and lab group first place prizes (two total). All submitted videos will be posted online to our YouTube channel. Send the YouTube link to [log in to unmask]
