RE:          Register by 2/23, 9 a.m. for 2/26 Opportunities and Challenges for Human Society and Development Conference



The UF International Center is inviting UF students to attend the 2015 Florida International Summit under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges for Human Society and Development.” This conference will be held at the University of Central Florida (Orlando) on February 26, 2015.  The conference is free but registration is required. For UF students, transportation from UF to UCF might be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at no extra charge.


The discussions will related to global challenges and threats to human society and development, such as:


§  Human Trafficking

§  Political Violence

§  Illegal Narcotics

§  Geo-Security Risks

§  International Relations

§  Policy Resolution

§  Crime, Law and Governance in the Americas

§  Foreign Policy and more


Dr. Ieva Jusionyte, Assistant Professor, UF Department of Anthropology and Center for Latin American Studies will serve as a panelist in the Latin America and the Caribbean panel.
