You must be using an ancient version. If by any reason you need to extract the net file from a csv/text file and you have problems with txt2pajek, feel free to send me a part of your text file. the current version of txt2pajek does support utf8: www.pfeffer.at/txt2pajek/<http://www.pfeffer.at/txt2pajek/> good luck, Juergen -- Juergen Pfeffer, Assistant Research Professor School of Computer Science Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, USA www.pfeffer.at<http://www.pfeffer.at> @JurgenPfeffer From: Social Networks Discussion Forum [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Faiza Ghafoor Sent: Thursday, March 26, 2015 5:15 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [SOCNET] Weights problem in Pajek ***** To join INSNA, visit http://www.insna.org ***** Hi, I have been working on a network using Gephi. This network has 498 nodes and 1218 arcs, line values assigned are 1,2 or 3 according to the strength of the relationship. To use some of the advanced features in Pajek, I want to migrate the data to Pajek. So, I import the data from a .NET file using the "Excel to Pajek" tool. Now, that changes all line values to 1. When I develop a .net file through "txt to pajek", when it is imported in Pajek, pajek gives an error (ERROR: it is a unix file or corrupted file). I would really appreciate feedback on this. Thanks in advance.
