Hello, everyone.

I work at a for-profit where I teach, but also tutor, and am one of the
main contacts for student services (tutoring, study skills, training
students in proper use of the technology and research skills, etc)  I wear
many hats.  In my work, the more traded information, the better.  When
students are not doing well in a subject, in example literacy, we introduce
them to tutors and connect them with our student services manager.  She
then connects the students to a teacher tutor or a student tutor.

As was said before, the culture of the school is of paramount importance.
The culture of our school, working with non-traditional students, is to
surround them with aid and support, knowing that they need pre-emptive
tutoring (many of our students will quit classes rather than seek out
tutoring).

This culture necessitates an open sharing of information about tutoring,
and students in need of academic assistance.  Of course, all of the sharing
is with the permission of the students.  Most students would like their
teachers to know what subjects were covered, but not the details of how
long the session was, how long was spent on each section, etc.
