The USC-Institute for Prevention Research is recruiting to fill a full-time Programmer Analyst position to work under the direction of Dr. Thomas W. Valente. This Programmer Analyst will work to update, test, and improve existing R programming scripts designed to test diffusion network models. This Programmer Analyst will be paid for by an existing NIH-funded study on the “Global Diffusion of Tobacco Control” (Valente, PI). The Programmer Analyst will be required to: (1) learn the functionality of the existing R scripts; (2) test the scripts with existing data; (3) debug and improve existing programs; (4) prepare the scripts to be publicly available with documentation through GitHub; (5) write new code to add features identified by the PI, graduate research assistants, and others.
