Some of you may be interested to learn that Pip Pattison has just been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia. The Order of Australia is the principal and most prestigious means of recognising outstanding members of the Australian community at a national level. Awards are made by the Australian Governor-General.

 

Pip’s citation explicitly notes her social network research:

"For distinguished service to higher education, particularly through contributions to the study of social network modelling, analysis and theory, and to university leadership and administration."
