Hi Danna, You could break them up into small groups and have them develop a list of tutoring Do's and Don'ts. Then meet as a large group to compare and discuss their lists. This is a great way to review the content of your tutor training without the tutors feeling like they are being lectured to while at the same time getting them to open up and talk to each other about tutoring. Having them work on case studies in small groups and then sharing with the large group is another way to get them all on the same page quickly. I hope you all have had a wonderful summer so far. In a few weeks, my returning tutors are coming to a welcome back meeting to get ready for next semester. I'd like to offer one or two team building activities to get them back into the swing of things since they have been gone since the beginning of May. Do any of you have any suggestions?
